The plants and flowers

I raise about my hut

I now surrender

To the will of the wind.

The flower invites the butterfly with no-mind;                                 

The butterfly visits the flower with no-mind.

The flower opens, the butterfly comes;

Ryokan’s Vision

Ryokan College was named after the Japanese Zen Buddhist Monk Ryokan (1758-1831).  Although the college does not infuse religious beliefs into the curriculum, we also feel it is important to embrace the significant relationship between the college and this historically relevant person.
